Augustine Tutoring Project
The Augustine Tutoring Project
A ministry of Christ Church United Methodist
The Augustine Project of Texas provides free tutoring in reading, writing and spelling to low income students who struggle with literary skills. We train tutors to serve children who may be dyslexic and have poor school performance. If you have the calling and wish to work with these children please contact us.
Other parts of our Educational Outreach Program include a “Bush Buddies” Program that provides mentors to at risk students at Barbara Bush Elementary School in the CISD. Also, anyone with educational experience or a desire to help students with learning difficulties can assist in our other volunteer tutoring program.
We will also provide assistance if you or someone else needs some direction for a child who might be served by our project. Augustine tutors who previously worked with the project would be welcomed back to serve again. The new school year stars soon and we would like to be ready as soon as possible.
You can contact The Augustine Project Director, Bill Bartell at wjbartell@aol.com at 281.352.3567 or CCUM at 936.273.2030.
