Radical Hospitality
Friendship, the gift of love, is a core value of the Christ Church family. We are inclusive of all people, offering a place of genuine warmth, welcome, and friendship. The "common-unity" found in the body of Christ, united by faith in Jesus and unified by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, is what makes and defines this church. We live together as a spiritual family giving unconditional love, support, and nurture.
Powerful and Passionate Worship
As a United Methodist people, what we do is worship; we are a worshiping people. We want every person who comes into contact with Christ Church to experience the powerful and passionate worship of a positive believing faith in Jesus Christ and the fulfilling riches of the Christian faith.
Faith Forming Relationships
Spiritual growth and formation as well as discipling are developed through participation in small groups. The desire to know and be known represents a deep yearning of the human soul and value of the Christ Church family. Worship and the spiritual formation ministries seek to help each individual develop meaningful relationships whereby one feels intimately connected to our community of faith.
Risk Taking Ministry and Service
God values all people. Because we have experienced God's goodness through Jesus Christ, we want all people to experience it too. Jesus says, But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8). We are to go into The Woodlands and into the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Our mission is to go into all the world, whether across the street, across the continent or across the ocean, to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ; to be the hands and heart for Jesus Christ to all mankind.
Extravagant Generosity
God was extravagantly generous in sending his Son to die for our sins so that we could be reunited with him. We strive for insight into this kind of sacrificial giving as our response to God's grace and mercy. We are living into our spiritual growth which requires not only committed giving through the tithe, but also extravagant giving of one's all.
