My Goals

A discerning man keeps wisdom in view, but a fool’s eyes wander to the ends of the earth. – Proverbs 17:24 NIV

Lord, sometimes I become anxious about the plans I have under way. I start seeing the success that could follow. Or the different paths my life might take. What if this? What if that? I could end up here. Or there. Distracted by the possibilities, I step a bit to the side, turn without noticing, lose my balance.  I become blind to Your priorities. Lord, help me to keep Your wisdom in view. When my eyes start to scan the horizon of grand illusions, I lose perspective of what is right and reasonable. Guide me, Lord. Place Your hand on my shoulders and direct me. Give me discernment to keep my eyes trained on Your will. Amen.
