PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Love One Another

[Jesus said], Love one another; as I have loved you. – John 13:34 KJV

What an example of love You give us, Jesus! You laid down Your life for everyone—even while we were still sinners. Fill me with that kind of love, Lord, that self-sacrificing love. So often, my thoughts seem to be all about me and what I want. Help me to change that by following Your example. I want to be like You, serving others with compassion, understanding, patience, and kindness. Give me that power, that longing, to love those who love me, those who hate me, and those who are indifferent to me. Amen.

Strength for the Work Ahead

If you start thinking to yourselves, “I did all this. And all by myself. I’m rich. It’s all mine!”—well, think again. Remember that GOD, your God, gave you the strength to produce all this wealth so as to confirm the covenant that he promised to your ancestors—as it is today. – Deuteronomy 8:17-18 MSG

You’ve promised to bless me and mine. I thank You for all the spiritual, physical, and financial gifts You have showered upon me. You give me the physical strength to go out every day to work and support myself and my family. Your Word gives me the spiritual strength to battle the schemes that the evil one throws into my path. Thank You for hearing my prayers, morning after morning, strengthening me for the work ahead. Amen.
