PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Strong

Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1:9

Thank you, Lord, that you’re never missing in action—that you’re with me all the time, everywhere, without fail. Please keep this knowledge in the forefront of my mind today so I’ll be encouraged and emboldened to move through each challenge without feeling intimidated, fearful, or ashamed. May I always be kept safe because you are at work in my life. Amen.

Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake. – Psalm 23:1-3

Dear Lord, I need you to shepherd me through my life. I know how easily I can go astray, and I know I need your rod and staff to keep me headed in the right direction. I don’t even know what the right direction is, but I trust you to lead me. Green pastures, still waters—I am grateful for the blissful moments you provide, but most of all I thank you for your presence beside me, helping me find my way. With your guidance, I will live each day “for your name’s sake.” Amen.
