PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

The Abyss of Loneliness

Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. – Psalm 25:16

Dear Lord, The  comforts of human companionship feel far, far away. I don’t want to be alone, but I am. It’s only because I know you’re here that I’m not lost in this abyss of loneliness. I’m definitely going to need to keep talking to you; help me trust that you’re hearing me. And please, I pray, grant me a sense of your presence with me. Thank you for being here. Amen.

Healing

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits—who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases. – Psalm 103:2-3

Lord God, I bring you blessing and praise, even in my time of illness. I thank you for the many benefits you have brought to my life—the love of family and friends and a faith that has anchored me through many storms. Now I ask you for healing that is both physical and spiritual. Let me grow in my reliance on you even as you knit this body back to health. Amen.
