PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Purity

Set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. – 1 timothy 4:12 NIV

Dear Lord, so many attitudes and grievances muddy the water of my soul. Take away the dross and clutter that separate me from the purity of Your Spirit. Cleanse my thoughts and create a new heart in me—one that is more like You. Prepare me for the holiness of Your presence. Amen.

Pride

All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. – 1 John 2:16 KJV

Dear God, I didn’t mean to let pride slip into a situation that has hurt me and caused hurt to others. Forgive me for having a prideful attitude and thinking I could handle things without going to You first. Humble my heart so that I will always depend on You as my counselor, my all-knowing source, and my wise Father. Amen.
