PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Hidden Sin

God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8 ESV

Dear God, there are things in all of our lives that we keep tucked away in the secret chambers of our hearts. But whether small or great, nothing is hidden from You. Shine the light of the Holy Spirit on my heart and expose every hidden sin that needs to be surrendered and forgiven. Amen.

Helpless

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. – Matthew 9:36 ESV

Father God, I’ve never felt so completely out of control. And yet, I know I can turn to You for help. Forgive me, Lord, for trusting in myself, refusing Your guidance, and going my own way. Distance me from those things that brought me to this place and left me sinking into the quicksand below my feet. Pull me up onto solid ground I pray and save me from my defiant and disobedient ways. Amen.
