PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Joy

I will sing for joy about what your hands have done. – Psalm 92:5 NCV

Lord, it isn’t easy to be cheerful and happy in the hard spots of life. Some times are downright terrible. Still, I have Your joy—the constant knowing that I belong to You and You love and care for me. Joy springs up and floods over me when I remember Your faithfulness. Amen.

Job Loss

I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. – Psalm 37:25 NRSV

Lord, I know it’s difficult to be out of work. I’ve been there myself. You worry about the bills. Your self-esteem plummets. You wonder how You’ll ever catch up even if You do find someone willing to take a chance on you. Help those who are without work. Give them courage to apply and patience to wait. Until the right job opens up, cover their needs with Your bounty. Amen.
