PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Idols

Little children, keep yourselves from idols. – 1 John 4:21 KJV

Father, how it must hurt You when I put other things before You. I don’t mean to allow those distractions to come in—but I open the door and soon my focus, my interest, and even my devotion has drifted away from You. I wish my idols were made of wood and stone. Then I could just throw them away once and for all. But instead, they are standing tall in my heart and mind. Thank You for helping me drag them down and cast them out forever. Amen.

Spiritual Hunger

Hunger is good—if it makes you work to satisfy it! – Proverbs 16:26 TLB

Lord Jesus, we are hungry for Your words and Your presence. Come closer and remember, Lord, how we are made of dust—hungry, shortsighted, foolish people. Yes, come closer and fill up our spiritual reservoirs with living water and our soul’s gardens with food that will nourish us and cause us to grow and thrive spiritually. Amen.
