You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my soul may praise you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever. – Psalm 30:11-12

Beloved Lord, You know the struggles I have had lately, but you have brought me through them. Distress has been turned to resilience. Worry has transformed into faith. For a while, I was focusing on my own misfortune, but now you have placed joy in my heart. I feel that I know you better than ever. Thank you for staying beside me in tough times. Lead me forward into better times. Amen.

He has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help. – Psalm 22:24 NIV

Dear Lord, I pray for those who are the victims of abuse around the world. I ask You to bring down those whose greed allows them to traffic in human lives and those who are on assignment from the Evil One to kill and persecute Christians. I pray for those who are being abused in their own homes. For all these and many more, I pray that you would provide a way of escape. Amen.
