PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Abuse

He has not despised or scorned the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help. – Psalm 22:24 NIV

Dear Lord, I pray for those who are the victims of abuse around the world. I ask You to bring down those whose greed allows them to traffic in human lives and those who are on assignment from the Evil One to kill and persecute Christians. I pray for those who are being abused in their own homes. For all these and many more, I pray that you would provide a way of escape. Amen.

Truth

You are saved by the Spirit that makes you holy and by your faith in the truth. – 2 Thessalonians 2:13 NCV

The truth is very difficult to find these days, Lord. We used to be able to trust what we saw and heard, but technology has blurred every boundary. I am going to pray before I move forward on anything, Lord. I will seek your guidance and direction. Thank You for being a beacon of truth, like a lighthouse on the shore, helping me anchor safely in the harbor rather than going aground on the rocks. Amen.
