PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Gossip

Without wood, a fire will go out, and without gossip, quarreling with stop. – Proverbs 26:20 NCV

Gracious Lord, my heart is heavy with regret. I have listened to gossip about someone I care for. Even if I don’t speak anything that contributes to the gossip, my listening is still a form of participating. Give me the wisdom and courage to step out of the conversation and speak only healing words of peace. Amen.

God’s Protection

Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. – Psalm 17:8 NLT

Dear God, I’m aware that the enemy of my soul is constantly waging war against me. I am no match for him and his minions. I often step into a place of fear when I feel the battle waging around me. Remind me daily that You are my shield and my protector. Help me trust You more and stand on Your promise to defend me from my enemies. Amen.
