PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Money

The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. – 1 Timothy 6:10 NIV

Dear Lord, help me keep a balanced perspective about money, the need for it and the use of it. Help me remember that money is a tool to help me live life and provide for my needs and those of others. Help me avoid squandering it or making it an idol. Let me use it wisely, respecting the power of what it represents. Amen.

Mercy

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” – Matthew 5:7 NIV

Lord, Your mercy is everlasting and yet new every day. You are merciful to us in ways we cannot expect or explain. Teach us to show mercy like You do because we know Your definition is not always the same as ours. We see like someone walking in the dark—we feel our way along. Help us, Father. Thank You that Your mercy shines brightest in our lives when we definitely don’t deserve it. Amen.
