PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Persecution

“In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!” – John 16:33 NRSV

Lord Jesus, persecution hasn’t touched my life—at least not directly. I’ve never been mistreated because of my faith or beliefs. For this I’m thankful. But I’m aware that across the world, scores of people are targeted for abuse and even death because they dare to stand for what is right. I commit to support them with my prayers. I pray that You would comfort, strengthen and protect them. Amen.

Patience

May you be prepared to endure everything with patience. – Colossians 1:11 NRSV

Dear Jesus, You know that patience doesn’t come easy for me. You’ve seen me try to fix situations or hurry along Your plans instead of waiting for Your divine timing. Teach me to be content in Your waiting room, remembering that You make all things beautiful in Your time. Amen.
