PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Discipleship

Others have a gift for caring for God’s people as a shepherd does his sheep, leading and teaching them in the ways of God. – Ephesians 4:11 TLB

Precious Lord, people cross my path quite often who are in need of spiritual help. Thank You for opening up opportunities for me to mentor those who ask for help and who are seeking more of You and Your light. Make me a good disciple-maker and mentor to those You place in my care. Thank You for trusting me with these hungry hearts. Amen.

A Christmas Prayer

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. – Isaiah 40:3

The Christmas tree, O God, is groaning beneath gift-wrapped anticipation. The table spread before us is resplendent with shared foods prepared by loving hands, for which we give thanks. And now, as this waiting season ticks to a bell-ringing, midnight-marvelous close, we around this table are scooting over to make room for the anticipated Guest. Come, blessing us with the gift of your presence as we say, “Welcome.”
