PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Praising in Song

My heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. – Psalm 28:7 KJV

My heart rejoices in Your presence! To Your ears, Lord, I pray that my singing will be a joyful noise. Your grace is amazing. You are my all in all; I worship and adore You. Lean down Your ear to me as I sing about Your love, for how great Thou art, Lord! How great Thou art! Amen.

Prayer for the New Year

The old has passed away; behold the new has come. – 2 Corinthians 5:17

God, thank you for a new year. May everyone in our family be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that you forgive us. Help us to be willing to forgive ourselves and to forgive one another.

As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put aside anxiety about the future and the past, so that we might live in peace with you now, one day at a time. Amen.
