PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Gentleness

Show a gentle attitude toward everyone. The Lord is coming soon. – Philippians 4:5 GNT

Precious Lord, when I become upset or anxious about relationships, it’s not always easy to exercise gentleness. Instead of reacting in haste or in anger, help me be more conscious of my attitude and act in a way more characteristic of You. Help me develop a gentle and tranquil spirit that will help me be more at peace with myself. I know I have a lot of growing to do in this area, but my desire is to glorify You in all I say and do. Amen.

Generosity

Be generous, and you will be prosperous. Help others, and you will be helped. – Proverbs 11:25 GNT

Father, teach me to be generous in every part of my life. Teach me to share freely, not only money but my space, time, energy, and possessions. Help me learn to share  hope and love, time and experience, joy and grief. Make me generous in all ways—lending a hand, taking time to listen, visiting the sick and lonely, and speaking words of encouragement to those in need of it. Amen.
