PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Counsel

Listen to advice and accept correction, and in the end you will be wise. – Proverbs 19:20 NCV

Heavenly Father, some decisions I’m facing require much wisdom, discernment, and direction. I’m asking You to lead me to someone I can trust, someone I can talk to, someone who can offer me wise counsel. As I place my trust in You to help me understand and take the steps I need to take, I’m also trusting You to place someone with the gift of wisdom in my path to bring sound reasoning and counsel. Amen.

Courage

Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. – 1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV

Dear Lord, I’m facing a situation that seems to be impossible to conquer. Fear has overtaken the courage I need to fight this giant. I know, just as David faced Goliath, my trust in You must be bigger than my fear. Your Word assures me that You are not only with me in every battle that I face, but that the battle belongs to You. Help me remember that I can do all things because You are my strength and my shield. Give me the courage to lay fear aside and fight as an overcomer. Amen.
