PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Humility

Dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. – Colossians 3:12 MSG

Gracious Lord, because of my accomplishments, it’s easy to let pride slip into my thoughts. I need humility to keep my heart and motives in check. You are my source, Lord, and all good gifts come from You. Help me work and serve with a humble attitude and from a fully surrendered heart, always for Your glory. Amen.

Hospitality

Be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless—cheerfully.  – 1 Peter 4:10 MSG

Father, open the doors of my house and also the doors of my heart. Help me show hospitality in my home, my life, my circumstances, my emotions—in all the places that I call mine. Help me hold the doors of my life wide and offer help, hope, and blessing to all You send my way. Cure me of selfishness, Lord. Amen.
