PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Goals

I keep trying to reach the goal and get the prize for which God called me through Christ to the life above. – Philippians 3:14 NCV

Father God, all my life I’ve been a goal setter and that has worked well for me. I’ve achieved much as a result of that discipline in my life. I’ve come to see, however, that there is only one goal that will make an eternal difference—that is to grow in my relationship with You, learning each day to be more like You. Help me as I strive to become more Christlike in all I say and do. Amen.

Gentleness

Show a gentle attitude toward everyone. The Lord is coming soon. – Philippians 4:5 GNT

Precious Lord, when I become upset or anxious about relationships, it’s not always easy to exercise gentleness. Instead of reacting in haste or in anger, help me be more conscious of my attitude and act in a way more characteristic of You. Help me develop a gentle and tranquil spirit that will help me be more at peace with myself. I know I have a lot of growing to do in this area, but my desire is to glorify You in all I say and do. Amen.
