Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Give Me Strength

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:29-31 NLT
Almighty God, I am going through a time in my life when the demands on me seem impossible. The task is too hard, the burden too much to bear, and my schedule too full to keep up with. Sometimes only my faith keeps me going because I know my greatest source of help is you. You are God of the impossible. When life’s demands pile up, my only option is to turn to you. I acknowledge my need for help beyond what human hands can supply. I give control of my life to you and ask you to carry the burden for me. I need you to give me the strength to continue. Amen.

Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you. – Hosea 10:12 NLT
O God, forgive me for using the sharpness of my tongue to hurt my friend. It’s too late to undo the consequences. I cannot retract my words; they’ve done their damage. But now I have a choice to humble myself and ask my friend for forgiveness. Lord, I pray that you will redeem my foolishness and bring something positive from this situation. Amen.
