PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Friends

A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. – Proverbs 17:17 KJV

Father, there are those who have loved me well and cared for me often. These friends have been beside me through thick and thin, in good times and bad. They’ve shared with me their wisdom and their counsel. They’ve continued to love me when I was decidedly unlovable. They’ve comforted me in my pain and brought light in my times of darkness. Lord, they make me want to be a better friend myself. Thank You for these wonderful people You’ve placed in my life. Help me be a better friend to each one of them. Amen.

Forgiveness

“Brothers! Listen! In this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins!” – Acts 13:38 ULB

Gracious Lord, thank You for forgiving me. It’s a gift that I don’t deserve. For that reason alone, it should be easy for me to offer forgiveness to others, but so often, it’s a real challenge. I can say the words, but I know those words have to be backed by truth and love. Help me remember that when I forgive others, I am passing along a gift that I did not earn. Amen.
