PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Anxiety

“Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” – Matthew 6:25 ESV

Heavenly Father, giving You my worries and letting go of stress is easier said than done. As I take this step of faith and ask You to calm my anxious heart, help me take a deep breath and fully release every fear and worry to You. Be my resting place, Father, and help me remember that You are so much more than enough. Amen.

Anger

Using good sense can put out the flames of anger. – Proverbs 29:8 CEV

Dear Jesus, I know my anger isn’t pleasing to You. And I know I must forgive and let go of all offenses in order to be free. I don’t want bitterness to take root in my heart. I need to choose to exchange my anger for love and forgiveness. Show me Your unfolding purpose as I confess my anger and invite Your love to fill me and flow through me again. Amen.
