PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Love for Others

You shall love your neighbor as yourself. – Matthew 22:39 NASB

God, make me a person who cares about others. In faith, I will search out opportunities to touch the lonely, feed the hungry, visit those who are in prison, care for the sick and dying. Let my faith be more than wishing everyone health, food, clothes, and a place to live. Let my life show my faith in You by helping those You love whenever I can. Speak and I will obey, Lord. Amen.

Kindness

Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. – Proverbs 3:3 NLT

Father, I’ve known many kindhearted people in my life. Some said kind words and others performed kind acts out of loving hearts. These people have affected me in ways I can’t define. Help me be kinder, more careful about the words I speak, quicker to extend a helping hand. Help me honor You and the kind people I’ve known by becoming a softer, gentler, kinder person to all. Amen.
