PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Emotions

Get up and pray for help all through the night. Pour out your feelings to the Lord, as you would pour water out of a jug. – Lamentations 2:19 CEV

Gracious Lord, sometimes I feel that I’ve landed right in the middle of an emotional windstorm. As thoughts whirl wildly within me, calm my fearful heart and mind. I realize that my overall well-being begins with my ability to control my emotions. As I pray and lay my concerns before you, bring stillness and peace to my mind and my spirit. Amen.

Doubt

Show mercy toward those who have doubts. – Jude 1:22 GNT

Dear Jesus, remove the clouds of doubt that are blocking my view. Help me remember that no matter what things look like today, I can believe that good things are on the horizon and faith will rise from the fog. I release my doubts, Jesus, and I’m asking You to rekindle my hope and fill my heart with expectancy again. Amen
