PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Ambition

Where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil. – James 3:16 HCSB

O God, I know You want me to succeed in life, but keep a rein on my ambition and drive. Help me stay aware of my family, coworkers, and friends so that I can follow my dream without neglecting or harming anyone else. Keep me moving forward with a godly heart and mind so that what I aim for will be something that glorifies You and blesses others. Amen.

Aging

“To your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” – Isaiah 46:4 NIV

Lord, I do feel old today. I am aging so steadily and can’t do half the things I used to be able to do. I find myself with time but no strength or energy. Help me settle into this new season of life. Help me stay vigilant about my health so that I can enjoy all the years You’ve given me. Amen.
