PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Change

[God] is looking for those with changed hearts and minds. Whoever has that kind of change in his life will get his praise from God. – Romans 2:29 TLB

Dear God, while I realize that change is inevitable in my life, I am struggling with giving up what is familiar and comfortable. Help me remember as changes come that You are the God who never changes. Steady my heart and help me trust You to take me safely into the unknown. Amen.

Challenges

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. – James 1:2-3 MSG

Dear Lord, sometimes the challenges of life cause me to feel like I’m living from one emergency to the next. I know it’s not Your will for me to be exhausted, emotionally frazzled, or defeated. Help me face my challenges by looking to You for real answers. I’m standing firm in the belief that in seeking You, I will find You—my advocate, my comfort, and my constant hope. Amen.
