PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Don’t Give Up!

They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination. – Nehemiah 6:9 NLT

Lord, here I am trying to take on this work and others are trying to intimidate me, telling me there is no way I can meet the challenge You have set before me. But I have faith in You. I know that with You in my life, I can do whatever You call me to do. Help me not to let others dissuade me from my goal. Give me faith that does not waver but goes boldly forward. Amen.

Curb My Tongue

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences. – Proverbs 18:21 NLT

Lord, my tongue just went on and on—and now I am reaping the consequences. When will I ever learn when to stop talking? It seems I continually belabor a point until the other person has zoned out and becomes unresponsive. Help me to weigh my words carefully, to say only what You want me to say. Help me to curb my tongue! Amen.
