Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Emergency Call

A hostile world! I called to GOD, to my God I cried out. From his palace he heard me call; my cry brought me right into his presence—a private audience! – 2 Samuel 22:7 The Message
This trial, this thing I’m going through, Lord, I don’t know how to handle it. I don’t know what to do. But I am certain of one thing: You can handle it. You hear me when I cry out to You and You bring me directly into Your presence. You are ready to listen to me, to my groanings and my pleas. Help me, Lord, to find the strength to carry on. Amen.

Love One Another

[Jesus said], Love one another; as I have loved you. – John 13:34 KJV
What an example of love You give us, Jesus! You laid down Your life for everyone—even while we were still sinners. Fill me with that kind of love, Lord, that self-sacrificing love. So often, my thoughts seem to be all about me and what I want. Help me to be like You, serving others with compassion, understanding, patience, and kindness. Give me that power, that longing, to love those who love me, those who hate me, and those who are indifferent to me. Amen.
