PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Deception

Do not be deceived, my beloved. – James 1:16 NRSV

Dear Jesus, someone I trusted has deceived me. I’ve been trying to process my feelings of brokenness, disbelief, and anger, but I know I need Your healing. The wounded part of me vows to never trust anyone again. And yet, the Holy Spirit in me prompts me to forgive and offer grace. Heal me, Lord. Take this hurt and use it for my good and Your Glory. Amen.

Debt

“Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” – Matthew 6:12 NRSV

Heavenly Father, help me find a way to resolve the burden of debt that is consuming my life. Where I see no way, guide me to a resolution. I want to be a good steward of everything that passes through my hands, Father. I believe every good and perfect gift is from You, my source of all blessing. Guide my steps as I set goals and priorities for settling and balancing my finances. Amen.
