PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

A New Beginning

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord, now that I am devoted to You heart and soul, I am a new creation. Thank You for washing away my old ways of thinking and behaving and for empowering me to live a new life. Your love changes me! Help me to live this new life with wisdom, making the right choices. Give me the courage to love the way You love. Teach me Your ways as we journey together on this path toward heaven.

Life-Giving Bread

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” – Matthew 4:4

Your Word is my daily nourishment, Lord. Thank You for the Bread of Life You provide every single day. Those words feed and nurture my soul just as eating bread fills me and provides the nutrition I need to live. Without Your words I will fade and die spiritually; with them I am vibrant, energized, and alive! Be my portion, Lord, as I seek You. And not just Your hands and what You give, but also Your face, Lord. I desire to know who You really are.
