PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

God’s Will

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. – Colossians 1:9

Lord, I want to know Your will for my life. Enlighten me with wisdom, discernment, and understanding. I need to know when to stay and when to go, when to speak and when to close my mouth. Fill me with the knowledge of Your best for me—right now and in the future. As I seek to follow You, help me to obediently and joyfully accept Your answers.

God’s Plans for Me

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” – Jeremiah 29:11-13

Lord, I am glad to know that You have plans for me—because the future is so unclear in my mind. You desire to prosper not to harm me. As the giver of all good gifts, You wrap up hope and a future as my present. I call upon You, Lord, knowing that You always listen. I seek You with all my heart, Lord, and look forward with expectant hope to good things to come.
