PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

All Things Work Together for Good

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. – Romans 8:28

Lord, sometimes it’s hard to understand why things had to happen the way they did. I have made some poor choices, but other people have done some really hurtful things to me, too. Even though I may never completely understand, I trust that You work things out for the good, for Your own glory. I love You, Lord, and I know I have been called according to Your purpose. I will put my faith in you.

God Is Faithful

The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it. – 1 Thessalonians 5:24

Lord, I thank You that You are my faithful God. No one else is like You. People move away, jobs change, and much of life is uncertain. But You are always here, my stable, loving, and present Lord. Help me to hold unswervingly to the hope I profess, for You alone are faithful. You keep all Your promises—every one of them, all of the time—and I thank You for that, Lord.
