PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Illness

While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them. – Luke 4:40 NASB

Dear Lord, it’s hard to watch someone I love suffering. Sometimes I wonder why You allow it. Even though I don’t understand, I trust You. I know that You love us and You are with us, helping us bear whatever pain we must go through. Show me how to bring comfort with my words and deeds. Amen.

Choices

“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit and that your fruit would remain.” – John 15:16 NASB

Father, I face choices daily. Some are simple, but some are life-changing. Help me follow You in all the choices I face—the big and the small. Forgive me when I push ahead and make choices that draw me away from You. And thank You for helping me make choices that are good for me and those around me. Amen.
