PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could discourage us and stop the work. So I continued the work with even greater determination. – Nehemiah 6:9 NLT

Lord, here I am trying to take on this work and others are trying to intimidate me, telling me there is no way I can meet the challenge You have set before me. But I have faith in You. I know that with You in my life, I can do whatever You call me to do. Help me not to let others dissuade me from my goal. Give me the faith that David sought from You, the kind that does not waver but goes boldly forward. Amen.

A Christmas Prayer

A Christmas Prayer by Robert Louis Stevenson

Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and worship of the wise men. Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world. Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting. Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings, and teach us to be merry with clear hearts. May the Christmas morning make us happy to be thy children, and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake.   Amen.
