There is a future, and your hope will not be cut off. – Proverbs 12:18 NRSV

Dear Lord, help me remember that because of You and through You, hope always exists. Even in the hard places of my life when I’m feeling desperate, I’m believing that Your empowering hope will rise up in me. Though unseen, hope is always near because of Your Spirit that dwells in me. You are always listening, always caring, and always steadying my heart and my steps. Amen.

If you do the right thing, honesty will be your guide – Proverbs 11:3 CEV
Lord in heaven, it hurts to know someone I care about has failed to be honest with me. I feel dishonored and betrayed. This is how You must feel when I’m not honest with You. Help me guard my tongue against dishonesty in every form—words, thoughts, and actions. And help me forgive the dishonesty in others as You have forgiven the dishonesty in me. Amen.
