PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Blessings

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. – Ephesians 1:3 NRSV

Dear Lord Jesus, help me show my thankfulness to You by being a blessing to others. I’m aware that I often miss opportunities because I’m too busy with my own concerns. I would ask You to show me how to make time for encouraging words, generous giving, and kind actions that truly bless others. In this way, I pray that I will also bless You. Amen.

Betrayal

It is not a foe who rises up against me—otherwise I would hide from him. But it is you, a man who is my peer, my companion and good friend! – Psalm 55:12-13 HCSB

Father, it’s difficult to believe that someone I trusted so fully has betrayed me. It wouldn’t hurt so much except that he was like a brother, a friend I had faith in. You, Lord, are a friend closer than a brother! Thank You for comforting me and leading me to a place of forgiveness. I don’t ever want bitterness to grow in my heart. Amen.
