PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Prayer for Growing Children

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. – 2 Peter 3:18

Lord, as our children mature, I pray that they would come to know You personally and grow in Your grace and knowledge. May You bring glory to Your name as we help them to grow up. Protect them and keep them in Your tender care as they choose friends and learn to make decisions on their own. Give them a hunger for You. Give them a desire for prayer. Help them to have thankful and giving hearts.

Joy

Our mouths were filed with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. – Psalm 126:2

Lord, thank You for the gift of laughter! I thank You for the joy You bring into my life. Help me remember that when I am looking up to You, Lord, I can have a more optimistic outlook and be a more positive person. Keep my eyes on You, not myself or my circumstances, so I can live with a lighter, more joy-filled heart.
