PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Stress-Free

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7

Lord, help me to find relief from stress in my life. I need to value rest and make time to relax—and I need Your power to do so. I cast my cares on You, my burden bearer. Help me to deal with the toxic, unhealthy relationships in my life. Give me the strength to say no when I need better emotional boundaries. And please help me find joy again in the things I like to do—unwinding with music, taking a walk, calling a friend, or learning a new hobby. Calm me and renew me, Lord.

Compassion

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. – Ephesians 4:32

Lord, Your compassion for people is great. You healed the blind and You led the people who were lost like sheep without a shepherd. Create in me a heart of compassion—enlarge my vision so I see and help the poor, the sick, the people who don’t know You, and the people whose concerns You lay upon my heart. Help me never to be so busy or self-absorbed that I overlook my family and friends who may need my assistance.
