PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

God’s Plans for Me

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” – Jeremiah 29:11-13

Lord, I am glad to know that You have plans for me—because the future is so unclear in my mind. You desire to prosper not to harm me. As the giver of all good gifts, You wrap up hope and a future as my present. I call upon You, Lord, knowing that You always listen. I seek You with all my heart, Lord, and look forward with expectant hope to good things to come.

Empower My Life

“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” – Luke 11:13

Holy Spirit, I cannot live life on my own strength. I ask that You would come and fill me with Your presence. Empower me with discernment to make better life choices and energy to thrive—not just survive. Give me a heart to seek You and serve others. Pour into my life more love, joy, peace, and patience—to be a caring parent, a loving spouse, a good friend, a wise worker—a person who is blessed, Lord.
