PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

God Is My Comfort

He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. – Psalm 23:3-4

Lord, there is none like You. When I am sad, You are my comfort. Your calm presence restores my soul. Your words are cool, refreshing water to my spirit. Despite my confusion, You guide me in paths of righteousness, and it’s all for Your glory. Even when I feel like I’m lost in a dark valley, I will not be afraid—for You are with me. Your gentle strength and Your divine authority comfort me.

The Peace That Brings Life

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. – Proverbs 14:30

Lord, I thank You for the peace that restores me mentally, emotionally, and physically. It is the peace that brings wholeness. When my heart is restless, my health suffers. But when I am at peace, You restore my entire body. I can breathe easier. I can relax, and I can smile again because I know everything’s going to be all right. I thank You that Your peace brings life.
