PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Life-Giving Bread

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” – Matthew 4:4

Your Word is my daily nourishment, Lord. Thank You for the Bread of Life You provide every single day. Those words feed and nurture my soul just as eating bread fills me and provides the nutrition I need to live. Without Your words I will fade and die spiritually; with them I am vibrant, energized, and alive! Be my portion, Lord, as I seek You. And not just Your hands and what You give, but also Your face, Lord. I desire to know who You really are.

Walking in Wisdom

A man’s own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the LORD. – Proverbs 19:3

Lord, please keep me from the foolishness of sin. I ask for wisdom and discernment to make wise choices in my life. When I’m tempted, give me the strength to flee it. When I am uncertain, help me to know the right course of action. When I need good ideas, enlighten my mind with creativity and intelligence. You know everything, Lord—may I walk in Your wisdom and learn Your ways.
