PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Comfort

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. – 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NKJV

Gracious Father, help me seek and rely on the true comfort of Your Holy Spirit, remembering that You have provided all I need when my heart is overwhelmed. Help me run only to You when I need consolation and the kind of compassion that You offer. Help me to be a warm, soft comforting presence for those who need me. Amen.

Circumstances

I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that he may know your circumstances and comfort your hearts. – Colossians 4:8 NKJV

Precious Lord, help me surrender the circumstances of my life to Your tender care. Help me stay focused on You, unshaken by what I see, hear, or feel. Help me press on beyond what looks impossible. I trust and rely on Your strength for my safety and see You as the source for all of my needs. Thank You for steadying my steps as You lead me to a higher ground of faith. Amen.
