Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Waiting on the Lord

Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! – Psalm 27:14 NKJV
Dear Lord, as I enter into this quiet time with You, calm my mind, body, and spirit. Take my hand and lead me to Your side. I long to feel Your touch, hear Your voice, and see Your face. Whatever comes to me this day, I know You will be with me, as You are now—within me, above me, beside me. Thank You for strengthening my heart. Thank You for giving me the patience to wait on You. Amen.

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. – Psalm 1:1-3 NLT
Heavenly Father, things are loveliest and best when they are blooming in the right season. Life has many seasons, each with its own beauty. How can I bloom in every season? By following you and reflecting the beauty of your holiness, love, and wisdom. Father, the Bible says that you are the great gardener. Apart from you, I will wither and die. O Lord, I give myself to you and ask that you would prune away the useless and rotten parts of my heart so I will bloom in your love through all the seasons of life. Amen.
