Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. – Romans 15:15 NLT
O Lord, I’m on empty. I’ve lost motivation, meaning, and purpose and my life no longer satisfies. How can my empty heart be filled? The world wants to deceive me into thinking that what it offers can satisfy me and refill my empty tank. But God, only you can fill the emptiness inside me and satisfy my deepest needs. Please refill my heart. Refill me with the pure love, truth, and goodness that only come from you. Fill my heart so full that evil has no room to enter. It is only through the presence of your Holy Spirit within me that meaning, purpose, and satisfaction will be restored. My heart is open…come, Holy Spirit! Amen.

My Prayers

I love the LORD because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy. – Psalm 116:1 NLT
Heavenly  Father, Thank you that you listen carefully to every prayer and answer me. I know I can trust you whether you answer my prayers with a yes, no, or even wait. Doesn’t any loving parent give all three of these responses to a child? How often have I asked you for things that later I realized were not pleasing to you? But you do not always answer no. You love to give abundantly to your children because you are generous and merciful. While I often am frustrated when you ask me to wait, I know that you don’t just put my requests on hold because you’re too busy to respond. Instead, your answer is often delayed to make me ready or to open my eyes to what is best for me. Father, I rejoice in our prayer time because I know you will answer in a way that is perfect and wise. Amen.
