Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he performs for people! – Psalm 66:5 NLT
Holy God, the miracles recorded in the Bible can seem like ancient myths to those who fail to recognize your work in the world today. I can be blind to your miracles despite the mighty works you are doing all around me. It’s impossible to see what I refuse to believe in . But when I cease doubting and allow myself to look for you, you show yourself in miraculous ways. I often expect a miracle to be a dramatic event, like someone being raised from the dead. But miracles are happening all around md! The birth of a baby, an awesome sunset, the healing of an illness, the restoration of a hopeless relationship, the rebirth of the earth in spring, salvation by faith alone—these are just a few incredible ways you act in your creation. When I think I need a miracle, remind me to look closer—they are happening all around me. Amen.

“Where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.” – Matthew 18:20 NLT
Gracious God, how amazing that your Spirit lives in the heart of every believer and that you are present in the community of the church. Participating with other believers in worship is so much more meaningful when I’m in the midst of it, actively involved. Father, thank you for the church. I pray that as we gather this Sunday you would fill us with the glory of your holy presence as we worship you together. Amen.
