Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Godly Words

The Sovereign LORD has given me his words of wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will. – Isaiah 50:4 NLT
Lord, here I am this morning, awaiting Your words of wisdom. I need to have a talk with my child today and I don’t know what to say or how to say it. Give me direction. Open my eyes, heart, and spirit to understand Your will for me and my child. I want to know how to speak words to comfort, direct, and assist him/her. Help me, O Lord. Guide the words of my tongue. Amen.

God Knows My Coworker’s Heart

“Then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and render to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men.” – 2 Chronicles 6:30 NASB
Lord, You can see into everyone’s heart. You know the good and the bad in all of us. Right now, I feel as if my coworker has inflicted only his “bad” upon me. Yet perhaps other things are going on in his life that I cannot see and do not know. Please, Lord, help me to forgive him as You forgive me. And when I see him today, give me peace in my heart, the right words to say, and a loving attitude. Amen.
