Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Good News

A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones. – Proverbs 15:30 NIV
Lord, I need some good news about now. Recent days have been filled with sad news and frustrations. I haven’t been able to focus and my sleep has been troubled. My spirit is restless. God, give me healing. from my flesh to my spirit, infuse my being with the power of Your good news and restoration. Amen.

My Prayer

May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. – Psalm 141:2 NIV

Lord, I talk too much. My prayers don’t leave room for breath and reflection. I petition without praise. Even as I pray right now, I can let my mind wander to things that need to be done or requests I want to make while I have Your attention. Lead me to a deeper prayer life, Lord. Let me come to You in silence and with a spirit of worship. May my words wind their way to You like tendrils of burning incense. Hear my prayer, O Lord. Amen.
