PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Pile It on Jesus

Pile your troubles on GOD’s shoulders—he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out. He’ll never let good people topple into ruin. . . .I trust in [God]. – Psalm 55:22-23 The Message

Lord, my burdens are so heavy. My bones hurt from all the pressure. With each breath I take, I draw myself closer to You. With each beat of my heart, I am nearer to Your peace. Touch my body, Lord, and my heart and soul. My spirit wants to cling to You for strength, love and compassion. Take away the hurt and fill me with Your strength. Help me to relax in Your presence. Give me a good word from Your lips. Take the burdens from me. Help me to leave them at Your feet. Amen.

Weeping with Friends

“But first, please let me spend two months, wandering in the hill country with my friends. We will cry together.” – Judges 11:37 CEV

Lord, my friend is in distress. She has sunk down into the abyss. Give me the power of encouragement so that I can help bear her burden. She has been there for me so many times. Now I’d like to repay that kindness, that love that she has given to me. Ease my schedule so that I can take the time out of my day to give her words of comfort. Help me lift her to You. Amen.
