PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Our Power

Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth. – Psalm 124:8 NKJV

I need look no further than You, Lord, to help me. It is Your name that I trust. It is Your power that will help me meet this challenge. After all, You made me. You know the plan for my life. You have equipped me to do what You have called me to do. Help me not to rely on myself but on You and Your power. That is what is going to give me victory in this life.  Thank You for hearing and answering my prayer. Amen.

My Words

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. – James 1:26 NLT

Lord, I want to live my faith before my children and others. To do that, I need to be able to control my words, but sometimes my tongue seems to have a mind of its own. Help me rein in my mouth. Give me words that will lead others to You. Help me to live a life that is rich in Your love—and may that love affect my speech. Amen.
