Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Perseverance in Prayer

As you know, we consider blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. – James 5:11 NIV
I feel like I’ve been praying forever for a situation that does not seem to be changing, Lord. I feel like Job–Here I am on my knees in prayer while the entire world dissolves around me. But I know that You are in control. You know all things. So once again, I lift my concern  up to You, confident that You will handle the situation in Your timing. Amen.

Cry Out to God

Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me. I cried out to him with my mouth: his praise was on my tongue. . . .God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God! – Psalm 66:16-1719-20 NIV
Dear God, You have done so many things for me, saved me from so many dangers, toils, and snares. I cry out to You again this morning. Fill me with Your Spirit. Touch me with Your presence. And as I go through this day, may I be so filled with Your praises that I cannot help but tell others what You have done for me! Amen.
