PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

God Is with Me

Everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength. . . .And I was delivered. – 2 Timothy 4:16-17 NIV

All of a sudden, I am as alone as David when he stood before Goliath. But I am not going to be mad at others for deserting me. All I need is You. You are my Lord, my Savior, my Deliverer, my Rock, my Refuge. You are by my side. I can feel Your presence right here, right now. Thank You for giving me the power I need. Thank You for never leaving me. Amen.

My Words

Don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. – Philippians 2:3 NLT

I don’t need fancy words to impress others. I only need words guided by the mind of Christ. Help me, Lord, to honor others with my speech. I want to lift people up, not bring them down. I want to bring joy to the hearts of others, not sorrow. Give me a better attitude, positive words, and encouraging remarks. Guard my mouth and, when necessary, put Your hand upon it to keep it shut. Amen.
