Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. – Genesis 2:19 KJV
Lord, You formed all things. And afterward, You invited man to be Your cocreator, allowing him to name things, do things, and serve You. Show me now, Lord, how You want me to employ my talents, my gifts, and myself to make this world a better place. Come to me now, Lord. Imprint upon my mind what You want me to do, which door You want me to walk through. Amen.

Morning Meditation

Give heed to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for to you I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up. . . .Make Your way straight before my face. – Psalm 5:2-3, 8 NKJV
You defend me, You love me, You lead me. That is too wonderful for words! This morning in Your presence, I rejoice. This morning, I direct my prayers to You, knowing that You will hear my words and interpret my groans. I am lifting my voice to You, Lord, and patiently await Your instructions. Amen.
