PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Choosing Life

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” – Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV

Lord, this day I choose life—I choose to live and work and have my being in You. Instead of looking at all that I don’t have, I choose to look at all that You have blessed me with—family, friends, a home, a job, clothes on my back, food in my belly . . . Oh Lord, that list is endless. Thank You so much for being my life, today and every day! I cling to You, each and every moment. Live through me! Amen.

Calm My Heart

God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7 NASB

Lord, rid me of the fears that are plaguing me as I come to You this morning. Calm my racing heart. Fill me with Your strength and courage. The storms, the trials, feel as if they are going to overcome me, but You have overcome the world and will not let me be brought down. You have given me the spirit of power, love, and self-discipline, and I revel in this knowledge and praise Your name. Amen.
