PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

My Job

The one who stays on the job has food on the table; the witless chase whims and fancies. – Proverbs 12:11 The Message

Lord, show me how to be content with my job. I know I need to work diligently so that I can provide for my family but I am not sure that this is what You have called me to do. I feel trapped. Would chasing after my dream job be Your will for me or is it just a whim? Lead me in the way I should go. Help me to be content in my present job and with the money I am earning. But if it be Your will, give me the courage to pursue the dreams You have for me. Amen.

Choosing Life

“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live.” – Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV

Lord, this day I choose life—I choose to live and work and have my being in You. Instead of looking at all that I don’t have, I choose to look at all that You have blessed me with—family, friends, a home, a job, clothes on my back, food in my belly . . . Oh Lord, that list is endless. Thank You so much for being my life, today and every day! I cling to You, each and every moment. Live through me! Amen.
