Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

Compassion for the Hungry

Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. – Philippians 1:1-2 NLT
With the compassion You show to us, Your abiding tenderness through thick and thin, today I reach out to the hungry here and abroad. Open my eyes to how I can help. Show me where my hands can be used to help feed those who are starving. I want to serve others in the name of Jesus Christ, for that is what You have called us to do. Open a door for me. Show me what I can do to make this world a better place. Amen.

God’s Awesome Power

Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power. . . .All the earth bows down to you; they sing praises to you, they sing praises to your name.” – Psalm 66:3-4 NIV
Lord You parted the Red Sea and You stilled the wind and the waves. You gave sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf. You raised people from the dead. Your power is awesome. Nothing is impossible for You! I bow before You, singing praises to Your name. Amen.
