PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Standing Firm

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. – 1 Corinthians 16:13 NKJV

God, I don’t feel very strong today. In fact, I am filled with that sinking-like-Peter feeling. Buoy my faith, Lord, so that I can stand firm. As I meditate on how You stopped the wind and calmed the sea, how just a touch of Your hand healed others, how there was power even in the hem of Your garment, I know I can stand today, firm in You. Continue filling me with Your power, courage, and strength. Amen

Strength in God

May honor and thanks be given to the Lord, because He has heard my prayer. The Lord is my strength and my safe cover. My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. – Psalm 28:6-7 NLV

Lord, I know You hear my voice when I pray to You! You are my strength and my shield. When my heart trusts in You, I am overjoyed. You give me courage to meet the challenges of the day. You give me strength to do the tasks You have set before me. You build me up, raise me to the heights, and lead me to places I would never have dreamed were possible. You are the Friend who will never leave me, the guide who walks before me. With You in my life, I can do anything. Thank You, Lord! Amen.
