PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

The Main Thing

One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. – Psalm 27:4 NKJV

Lord, help me to keep the main thing the main thing—and that is to seek first the kingdom of God, beholding Your beauty, inquiring in Your temple. That is all that is truly important, not whether or not I get all my work done at home, the office, or church. As I receive requests for my time and ability, give me wisdom to say yes and no in accordance with Your will.

The Path

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. – Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

Lord, I am so afraid of what this day may bring. So many times I have tried to make this situation right and nothing seems to be working. I cannot figure a way out anymore. Help me to trust in you—not just halfway but the whole way. I don’t understand what’s happening, but I acknowledge Your presence in my life and Your ability to make all things right. Amen.
