PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

Facing the Unknown

“And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.” – Acts 20:22 NIV

O Lord, I feel called to take on this new challenge. I can feel the Spirit drawing me into this latest endeavor. But I don’t know what’s going to happen. Oh, how I sometimes wish I could see into the future. Lord, help me to have confidence, trust, and faith in Your will for my life. Help me to just put one foot in front of the other, to do the next thing, to continue walking in Your way. And when I get there, I will give You all the glory! Amen.

Word Power

Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim.- Proverbs 15:14 The Message

Words have cut me to the quick. Now I know how others feel when I harm them with my words. It really hurts. I feel very wounded. My stomach is filled with anger, sorrow, embarrassment, bitterness and rage. Lord, give me a kind thought from Your Word today, scripture that will heal and build me back up. Take this sorrow from me and replace it with a spirit of forgiveness. Lift me up to Your rock of refuge. Amen.
