Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!

On Eagles’ Wings

“’I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.’” – Exodus 19:4 NIV
God, I need You to lift me up, above all these problems, above my circumstances, above my helplessness. Carry me off to Your place in the heavenlies, where I can find my breath, where I can sit with You, where I can find the peace of Your presence. You alone can carry me through this. I feel Your strong arms holding me close. Thank You, Lord, for saving my soul. Amen.

Consistent Love

A friend loveth at all times. – Proverbs 17:17 KJV
All I need is love! That’s all I need from my friends right now—people who care about me, who want what’s best for me, who will never turn away. But when I look at my life, I wonder if I’ve always loved my friends. I mean that constant, undying, unyielding love—the kind that You show for us. Forgive me, Lord, for the times I have fallen short–for times that I was so caught up in the busyness of my day that I did not show love to a friend who really needed it. Lord, fill me and my friends with your love and help us to let it flow freely to all we meet. Amen.
