PRAYER

Prayer opens our hearts to the power of God’s love. Prayer is how we become channels of God’s love for the world. Prayer is a gift from God – He wants to hear from us!
Pray for Others – If you would like to be part of Christ Church’s prayer chain and receive emails with prayer requests from our congregation, please contact Karen Smith.

The Prayer Tree is located in The Commons and a part of the Prayer Ministry. Complete a prayer “leaf” and it will be prayed over by the church.

To submit a prayer request, you may send an email message to prayer@cc-um.org. If you would prefer a more private prayer request, you can fill out the form below or contact Dr. Marc Donaldson.

My Words

Don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. – Philippians 2:3 NLT

I don’t need fancy words to impress others. I only need words guided by the mind of Christ. Help me, Lord, to honor others with my speech. I want to lift people up, not bring them down. I want to bring joy to the hearts of others, not sorrow. Give me a better attitude, positive words, and encouraging remarks. Guard my mouth and, when necessary, put Your hand upon it to keep it shut. Amen.

My Coworker

“Then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and render to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men.” – 2 Chronicles 6:30 NASB

Lord, You can see into everyone’s heart. You know the good and the bad in all of us. Right now, I feel as if my coworker has inflicted only his “bad” upon me. Yet perhaps other things are going on in his life that I cannot see and do not know. But You know all. Please, Lord, help me to forgive him as You forgive me. And when I see him today, give me peace in my heart, the right words to say and a loving attitude. Amen.
